I am a psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist with additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I trained at the Westminster Pastoral Foundation (WPF Therapy), a leading provider of counselling and psychotherapy training in the UK. I am a member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC), the graduate body of WPF Therapy. I am accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). These professional bodies operate Codes of Ethics and Practice and have complaints procedures. I adhere to these professional requirements.

How I work

We will talk about your difficulties and explore the underlying issues. We will try to understand why you think, feel and behave the way you do. The insight which you gain about yourself can help you to let go of patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that may have sustained you in the past, but that now cause you difficulties. Our exploration will be non-judgemental and empathic.

I offer an initial assessment session to decide whether counselling or psychotherapy is the right option for you. The initial session can be a valuable and clarifying experience even if you decide not to continue. We can then explore other options for you. Depending on your needs, I offer short-term or long-term counselling and psychotherapy. Sessions are 50 minutes long. They take place once weekly in my consulting room in New Broad Street House, 35 New Broad Street, London, EC2M 1NH.
